July 4, 2009

So Jim and I started the day out by doing some shopping to get ready for the days events. Matt and Lisa came over and brought their friends Liz and James as well. We spent the afternoon swimming, playing poker, BBQ-ing and hanging out. We had ribs (with some homemade BBQ sauce made by myself) BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans, and potato salad. The food was awesome! And we finished the night with some really cool fireworks. I'm so glad that Jim and I finally found some normal people here in Ridgecrest. We were beginning to worry about if normal people still existed or not in this town. Thanks guys for coming. We had a GREAT time!

My First Day

Thanks to my new friend Lisa G., I now have my own blog.....what a wierd word. Well, anywho, this is something new for me, so forgive me if this doesn't make sense or looks crazy wierd. I got a crash course from my 17 yr old. So, today is Sunday. Jim and I had our new friends Lisa and Matt over today for some lunch, games and a tattoo...sounds funny, I know. Matt has been nice enough to offer to do a tattoo for Jim and I. Jim is getting a Jester, and for those of you who don't know Jim very well, a Jester is an exact reflection of Jims personality. I have not decided what I want as my second tattoo.....I'm still thinking on that one. We have had an absolutely AWESOME weekend. Played poker on Friday with Matt, Lisa, Dave, and two other people,......and quickly lost all but $5 of our money to Lisa...(I think she's a card shark masking as a novice)!!!! Saturday, Jim and I went over to Matt and Lisa's house for dinner and a nice electric shock therapy session...LOL, and to play some board games. And by the way, they make a wonderful Pot Roast. It was very Yummy! By the time I got home, I was pooped out and went to bed. The rest of this evening will be time with the girls. We finally have Jordan and Maxine here in Ridgecrest for almost a whole month. We are all very excited! Thanks for a great weekend Matt and Lisa!
